Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania’s City Council voted 6-3 to approve legislation to enact a red flag gun confiscation law and to ban AR-15s and other common semiautomatic firearms and so-called “high-capacity” magazines. The legislation does include a grandfather clause.

Pittsburgh’s mayor said he’ll sign the legislation, but Pennsylvania law forbids municipalities from regulating guns, so there are sure to be court challenges.
