Everytown for Gun Safety, billionaire Michael Bloomberg’s anti-gun organization, has launched the “Everytown Law Fund” to pump millions of dollars into destroying the gun industry.

A press release published on the Everytown website says:

The Everytown Law Fund is now accepting applications to fund a wide variety of litigation projects related to gun violence, including claims seeking accountability for survivors of gun violence from potentially liable firearm manufacturers, distributors and retailers, claims based on unfair or deceptive marketing and/or sales practices, challenges to laws that increase the risk of armed confrontation and gun violence, lawsuits arising out of unjustified shootings or armed intimidation, lawsuits seeking to compel state and local officials to enforce gun safety laws, and more.

Reuters reports, “The Everytown Law Fund will begin with an initial $3 million commitment from Everytown’s parent organization, Everytown for Gun Safety Support Fund, and will prioritize funding legal actions that seek to address the impact of gun violence on Black, Latino and other marginalized communities, the group said.”

Until now, the gun industry has been shielded by the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA), which makes it so gun makers are not liable for crimes committed with their products, anymore than Chevy or Ford are responsible for people hurt or killed by the drunk drivers who behave recklessly with the products they manufacture.

Of course, Joe Biden, in his quest to disarm law-abiding American citizens, is targeting gun manufacturers by repealing the PLCAA so they can be punished for crimes they didn’t commit.

This movement comes in the wake of Remington Arms paying the victims of the tragic Sandy Hook shooting a $33 million settlement, and as Mexico sues U.S. gun makers for crimes committed across the border.
