Politicians say the darndest things.

Liberal ones especially, as evidenced below, generally have no idea how guns work or what responsible gun ownership means. Yet they’re in charge of enacting laws telling the rest of us what firearms we can use and not use, how, when, and where.

#1 You can only use a gun magazine once

At about 2:50 in this video, Rep. Diana DeGette (D-CO), is talking about magazine bans, and toward the end, says once gun owners use their high-capacity magazines, they won’t be able to use them anymore. Facepalm. Apparently, all magazines are use them and lose them.

#2 Where can we get those magic, ‘heat-seeking’ bullets?

What can I say? New York Assemblywoman Patricia Eddington (D) clearly doesn’t have any idea what an incendiary round (ammunition that can burn or cause fire when hitting a target) is. There definitely have been recent reports of the U.S. Army testing “smart bullets,” but as you can see from this video, Eddington wasn’t referencing anything like that. She was just confusing incendiary rounds with mythical “heat-seeking” bullets.

Here is an informative (and cool!) video on incendiary rounds:

#3 Joe Biden: A shotgun is all you need to protect yourself

“You don’t need 30 rounds to protect yourself, buy a shotgun” Biden says.

Thanks, Joe! Your practical and sage advice will make us safe in all situations! And shooting guns up in the air off your balcony is always a good idea.

It is not an overstatement to say that if you follow the former vice president’s advice, you could very well wind up in jail.

#4 ‘Ghost Gun’ Has the Ability to Shoot ‘a 30 Magazine Clip in Half-a-Second’

So much ignorance in so little time.

This guy is now running for U.S. Senate in California – to the left of Dianne Feinstein. I didn’t think that was possible, but apparently in California it is. Imagine if de Leon actually makes it to the U.S. Senate and talks like this on the floor.

#5 And here is a beautiful montage compilation from the Washington Free Beacon:

Of course all this stuff is entertaining to watch and good for a laugh, but the truth is, this is just the tip of the iceberg, and there have been many other instances of painful and dangerous ignorance spouted by our elected officials that were not caught on camera.

Take the initiative, as a Second Amendment supporter, to record a politician speaking about guns. Send us clips if you have them, so we can further expose these guys and show why they have no business making rules governing guns.
