Alexander Garcia captured his neighbor on his home security system checking doors and peeking into windows multiple times.

Garcia was at home recently and caught the man looking into his back window. Garcia checked on his wife and daughter, then decided to fire a warning shot.

“I came out the room, and I grabbed my gun. I told my wife, ‘He’s here, he’s here,’” Garcia told ABC13 Houston. “I just took it off safety, and then I saw him crouching down, and I shot once.”

Surveillance video showed the intruder running away shortly after Garcia fired at him, narrowly missing the man.

“Neighbors like Shirley McCartney spoke with Eyewitness News and said they want the man caught soon,” ABC13 reported.

“He just doesn’t hit one house,” McCartney told the news station. “There [are] elderly people here. They can’t fight someone off like that. I can’t fight someone off like that.”

The Houston Police Department is reportedly investigating the situation.
