Steve Kerr, head coach of the Golden State Warriors, showed his support for increased gun control during the last NBA finals game, where he sported a shirt that read, “Vote for Our Lives.”

“‘Vote For Our Lives’ is in support of the ‘March For Our Lives’ organization,” USA Today reports, “which is trying to ‘harness the power of young people across the country to fight for sensible gun violence prevention policies that save lives.’”

USA Today reports Kerr said ahead of the Finals Game 2:

“The shirt has everything to do with the tragedy in Virginia Beach and how devastated so many families are and so many people are. The shirt’s a reminder that the only way we can get out of this mess is to actually vote, and to vote for people who are going to be willing to create some change in our gun laws in our country.”

Golden State is tied 1-1 in the series with the Toronto Raptors. Canada already has notoriously bad gun laws, and the nation’s liberal party, like ours, is always working to make gun control even stricter.
